My cousin had it at a party of his in Madison and he said like 4 people ended up getting naked and running around unashamed spreading their asscheeks....

ahahaha....I'm not sure if I want to try it, but it's supposed to wax you pretty hard. Nothing any 'ordinary' liquor can do....suppose thats why it's 'banned' in the U.S...

Was your cousin also from Milwaukee at one point in his career? Was his last name Jeff Dahmer?

hahaha...nope! Jeffery did all his asswaxing, cuttin', guttin', and eatin' like 2 miles from my current apartment. Yikes....but they tore the place down. Only place that still stands where he killed people are the nearby Abasador Hotel and his Grandmothers house.

True Absinthe is banned because it contains wormwood, a hallucinogenic.

    Peace Out~:D

Correct, but Wormwood can be obtained at any herbal supply store.

Actually it is a centain percentage of Wormwood. Thier is a legal Absinthe sold in the US and a pure wormwood abstract under the same labeling sold from a different location. You combine the two and - booya. The correct type liquid abstract is actually very hard to find and the stuff I am talking about can only be ordered by written mail from Florida. I can get ya pics if ya want.

Well...This is an old thread, but I was house sitting for the past week and a half and I just got home. My friend Steph was in England and Amsterdam for the last 2 weeks and I found a bottle of Absinthe in my room that she had procured while she was there. This has Wormwood in it. I'm excited to try it.

    haha...

I rather enjoy it. It's a total licorice flavor for sure. It's best taken with an absinthe spoon with a sugar cube. It's really not that bad, but I tend to have a strange taste in alcohol....other than my trust Jack Daniels. ;)

Doin' it up Van Goh style...minus the turpentine! :p

I beleive you are to pour a bit of water over the sugar cube, this will cloud the drink a bit. There is a bottle for sale in canada that comes with a special spoon with little holes for the sugar cube.
