Mod on my RTA 12C's!! all new clarity ersa 250V caps all around, all new ofc 14 ga copper strand wure, gold connectors and binding posts, new mills resistors, new gaskets, black hole (type) behind drivers, rdo194's allready installed, dynamatted all speakers, cleaned and resealed cabs, will be:eek: adding new rissers 3" taller than stock, also will recloth all grills and the hats. Pcb's cleaned and checked as well. Oh yea also netric connectors between the two xovers. So what have i missed?? Will be reassembling about the 11th. So i still can make last mineut changes or additions.

    Did you epoxy the magnets?

    How about just listen to them?
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Reassembly starts on the 11th. Im drooling!!! Waited a long time to do this and cant wait to go thru the break in period and listen too them change every time i play them till they settle in.Also will have that Beer, Adam.

    I jave been listening to these for about 2 years so i know them rather well it will be nice to really hear them as new ( so to speak). As a run up to this mod i did a pair of monitor 5jr+'s with clarity SA 600v caps to see err Hear the diff and was shocked with the improvment, they found detail and punch i didnt think they were capable of! The sound stage and imaging was far improved and they "play way outside the cabinets" im now using the 5jr+'s in a new (to me) HT system i am building and they ( 4 of them) do a very nice job mated with a parasound HCA 2003 and a HCA 800ll ( will be replaced wiyh a HCA 1200 or the like.the 2003 is waiting for its turn on the bench to be modded like my 1200 was and they will match very nicely. Once i get the right processor ( B&K 50/70) or the like it will be something too hear.
