Ready to move up from my T-1000 tuner, and would like a nice analog tuner such as the T-2 or maybe a Sansui TU-317.
Anyone, anyone.....

Do you have a set budget in mind?
A quick search found this really nice Sansui TU-717:

Well, more of a space constraint right now. The shelf on my rack measures 5" high with plenty of depth and height, which is a bit of a bummer, but I'm going with a minimalist system right now as far a space goes. -
The TU-317 isn't a move up; you'd want to look at TU-717 and above for a Sansui. Why not just go for the gusto and a TU-X1... or the daddy of 'em all... the near-legendary REL Precedent (or Dick Sequerra's runner-ups: the Marantz 10B or his own Day Sequerra Labs Number One)?

true the 317 would move you backwards a lot. I have a Sansui Tu719 sold my T-2 cause the Sansui's are just great. there is a TU-X1 on ebay right now its 3G's. The T-2 have been really pricey as of late good luck
