Anyone have a HDTV with IP control?

It appears that our living room plasma is showing some signs of going out. We can control everything at hour house with the iPads / iPhones, with the exception of the TV. I've read that some TV have IP control apps, and I was wondering if anyone here has one?
If you do how does the IP control app work? Is it any good? Thanks.

Most current smart tvs have this.
Panasonic had it two years ago in VT30, GT30, etc. All the new ones do it as well.
All Samsung Smart TVs after the initial B6000 series.
Not sure on which year Sharp came in, but I'm pretty sure all their 70"+ do it as well.
All my TVs can be controlled via ipad except my first gen B6000 LED samsung (the original razor thin one with the huge red bezel).Main Surround -

That's good to know. I went to Best Buy, and I asked a Samsung representative about IP Control, and he did not have any idea what I was talking about. I had to walk around the whole store, and I finally found one of the Samsung TV's that had that option by using the Samsung app.
Thereafter, I asked another Best Buy employee who was a TV specialist, and he said that none of their TV's had IP Control, and that I need it to use a different device called Control 4.
I did some Google research, and it appears that Panasonic and Sharp will have this option with thir 2013 models, and LG and Samsung wont.AVR: DENON X4000

They all have some sort of network control - all technically IP control as it's done via IP addressed control.
What level of control and what specific commands/protocol (serial?) will vary from manufacturer. You can just download the manual for an model you are interested in and it will have the info towards the back.Main Surround -

I mainly want to be able to turn it on / off and select the input that I want. Thanks for the idea to download the manual and finding the features out that way.AVR: DENON X4000

They have this nifty device, been around for decades and comes with every TV...it's called a remote.
You must be one of those guys with your eyes glued to a phone 24/7. While I get the convenience factor, I don't get why a lot of people want their phones to control their lives.

I want it because it is the future. Remotes are obsolete now. Specially my harmony remote, which has been collecting dust for over a year. I can control everything with the iPad and iPhones, which are more convenient and have better interface, and my whole family likes it that way :razz:AVR: DENON X4000

+1 for what Tony said. Plus my dog knows how to use it if I become somewhat incapacitated ... which can happen from time to time depending exactly what I'm drinkin'.Main Family Room: Sony 46 LCD, Sony Blue Ray, Sony DVD/VCR combo,Onkyo TXNR 708, Parasound 5250,

I bet if you shot an email to Scott Wilkinson from Home Theater Geeks, he'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
