What's going on guys. My name is Gustavo, but the few friends that I've got call me Gus. I've been a member at the AVS Forum for a couple of years now, and it isn't until recently that I started getting more interest in Home Theater technology. I live in the Central Valley, CA in a city named Visalia. This area was pretty much a farming community, but it has grown rather fast. However, technology is not growing as fast as I would like  The main place to buy anything here is Best Buy  Where I usually ended up "training" the employees how to use their devices lol
So, I usually end up buying anything online nowadays. We used to have a Magnolia Best Buy, but they discontinued their Magnolia and replaced it with kitchen stuff  We used to havea Fry's Electronics about 45 min. away, and they closed down  I love Fry's Electronics. The closest Fry's now is 4 hours away
Therefore, it is practically impossible for me to do any auditioning prior to committing to buying anything. So, now I do a lot of research online, read posts / threads in forums such as this one, and ask questions.
So, I am happy to be a member of this community, and I hope I can learn more from you guys. I will also try to help anyone if I can!
My current set up is as follows:
Front L/R: Monitor 70's Series II
Center: Monitor 25C
Surround L/R: Jamo's S426
Surround Back L/R: Energy EF-500
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW-12D x 2
AVR: Pioneer SC-1522-K
Other tech stuff I use:
15TB UnRaid server, which contains all of my owned ripped movies and TV Shows.
Dune Smart Series D1 and Dune TV303D, which play all of my movies and TV Shows.
AirVideo to transcode / stream movies / TV shows to iPhones and iPads.
Just got a: ASUS AC66U router
This has been my set up for the past 8 months. I'm happy with it, but I am hoping to upgrade to the RTiA line and add an Emotive XPR external amp to power them up. However, I don't see this happening in the near future due to, 1) Getting married in September, 2) Future wife wants a house, and the most important thing of all 3) I will be broke after 1 and 2 have been completed.
I thought about selling me 7.2 set up to be able to at least get a 3.0 RTiA set up...but I don't think I would be happy with just a 3.0. So, I will have to wait a bit longer to upgrade.

Thanks guys. The future wife agreed for me to upgrade our surround sound, and if I don't sell my current set up, I'm most likely going to put it in the garage for a "cave man" type of thing lol.
However, the upgrade might take a little longer than I am anticipating due to our living room plasma TV starting to show signs of getting too old lol. On the right side of the screen, it is showing 5 vertical different color bars. Our last TV that did this went out after a few months. When it rains it pours lol.AVR: DENON X4000

Gustavo, your given name is way too cool to call you Gus. I'd think about it.
