Seriously the BS and rudeness I see towards some people is unreal. And most of it comes from newer members who think their king ****. It's getting REAL hard to bite my tongue and I'm about ready to just say f it and tell it like it is to most folks. Because I just can't put up with any BS from these morons any more.

I certainly don't like coming around here if this is how some people are going to be. F that.

Right on both counts. Some extremely rude people and some great folks too. I wish the mods would put an end to all the politics on this site. Take it to Glen Beck's site or MoveOn but stay away from CP.

Ever notice that a heated thread can sometimes take a sudden turn when somebody suddenly posts a note that they read something wrong, posted in error on something, say sorry or a "you're right" and then the the whole thing becomes a lovefest between two previously going toe to toe?

Tone matters. Respect you'd project in person gets simple left out on the web. Have you noticed the respect and kidding that goes on between some of the members here that have attended the Polk get togethers? Do you really think others here are that different? Be an example of a more civil tone. The light hearted threads need to spill over into more of the heated ones and each one can be the one that does that.

And just because somebody has a low post count here, doesn't necessarily mean they're an audio infant. I remember being treated pretty rude here early on and have used that as a motivation to remind myself to not do the same. The person going out of their way to purposely step on my toes had and has no idea of my level of experience.

I particularly feel bad when a real beginner asks a question and gets really cut off in overly short ways. You have to remember some people are into this at a whole different level than others and commit very different bucks to their projects.

    Be the good example.

Well I have to say I agree with everything that everyone has said.

Good strategy. Don't let on that you don't have a clue as to what's going on

Excellent points from all areas that display common sense and good judgement and ....

    Careful ! Don't over do it !

    .... stuff like that.

Good. Now throw out some stuff to cover your arse just in case you're the one who F'd up

Perhaps some input from Ukipha Heap of the Firesign Institute Of Philosophy can offer some insight and inspiration

This place started a downward spiral around 1999 that it hasn't recovered from. The old-timers from 2011 may not have recognized this, but it's there.
