Anybody heard Yes lately in concert?

Although my friend refers to the current incarnation of Yes as the "fraudulent Yes," because of the absence of Jon Anderson as singer, I am entertaining the thought of perhaps going to see them in a couple weeks. They are apparently playing three albums in their entirety. Anyone seen them lately in concert and, if so, what is the verdict? Worth it?

I haven't seen them since 2004. I am not against seeing them necessarily, but at the same time don't feel I absolutely NEEd to. My youngest brother saw them in Saratoga, California a couple weeks ago and loved it! He said he would definately see them again for sure, but he wished Anderson and Wakeman were there...... I was comparing Jon Anderson's vocals to Jon Davison's from when Anderson was about 33ish and Jon's vocals are defeinatley much stronger and more powerful than Davison's are. It seems (from the many videos I've seen) that Davison can replicate the nots and vocal styl, but can't duplicate the power emotion of Anderson. That's my point of view anyway. I would recommend seeing them and deciding for yourself. ANd if you don't own them already, please buy Audio Fidelity's SACD of both CTTE and Going For the One. Also, please buy Mobile fidelity's 24Kt. Gold CD of The YES ALbum. Interesting, that these are the 3 albums they are performing this tour........

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

"Green leaves reveal the heart spoken Khatru"- Jon Anderson

Thanks fellas. I have the AF SACD of CTTE, and I'll get the MF Gold Yes Album. I think I'll also check out tickets for this show as the event gets nearer and see if I can get a good seat (all reserve) for a reasonable price. RIght now, they're kinda high and I'm hoping the prices get more reasonable. I'm a big Jon Anderson fan but I would also like to see the band and it sounds like they're worth seeing. Believe it or not, I passed up an opportunity to see them in Minneapolis in 1975 or so, what an #sshat move that was.

I did not even know YES was still touring. Thanks for the post. It sounds like it will be a good show but, of course, it is not the same without Jon Anderson. I still would see them if they made a stop near me and ticket prices were reasonable.

YES was the first concert I ever saw - 1979 Madison Square Garden in NYC. I was in 8th grade. Tempus fugit, indeed.
