If it works then great. However, after the side-effects I went through with Lipitor, I would quit it if anything out of the ordinary, other than hair growing, started occurring.

Just go buff, you cannot fight or change your genetic makeup. If it is not in your genes, it's not going to be on your head. At least not for very long.

I have been shaving my head for 15 years after Mother Nature started taking my hair. I love not going for a haircut, etc. In fact, I just joined this mail order shaving club. Check out the videos; they're hilarious.

Now that's funny coming from a woman.....which in their world everything is fake. Not you personally Cathy, but your gender in general. Women fight their genetic makeup all the time. Fake hair, eye brows, eye lashes, lips, hair, nails, fake ****, butts, liposuction, and on and on.

Doggie, if that's what you want then do it right. Many hair replacement places around, some better than others. That's the more permanent solution without having to buy topicals the rest of your life. Do your research, they've come along way in the last 10 years.

Nay. Just get it cut really short. It will slow the hair loss considerably, and not make you look like a comb-over fool. I looked into Rogaine when my hair started falling out 15 years ago. At the time the fine print said if you stop taking it then your hair will fall out. No thanks.

I do a combover using my back hair...does that count?

    Seriously though, just shave it.
In normal attire, I am a fat bald guy.
Put me in sunglasses, jeans and a black t-shirt that fits correctly and suddenly, all my kids' friends think I look like a bouncer. It's a good image to have.

^ It depends on how many twists and turns.

I don't think shaving is required. A buzz cut is a good option. To each his own.

I'd say try it and see what you think. Supposedly it's got a pretty good success rate for younger dudes. And that's another question. How old are you? I'd say anyone over 50 should just stop worrying about their hair and get on with life. Nothing wrong with a little baldness. But if you're still young, unattached, etc. Then it's your call. Of course if you're young enough, a genetic CURE for baldness is right around the corner. And you will live to see baldness eradicated for those who choose the treatment.

Ah genetic engineering in the next 50 years. Both AWE and TERROR!

Is Rogaine the stuff that has the side effect of giving you impotence? That would be awful, someone takes the stuff trying to grow hair to attract the ladies, then they can't get it up if their life depended on it. jeez......

Oh please Tony, and just why do you think they do it? all you have to do is look at the pictures in the Post a picture any picture thread to see why! All of you men are posting those bull$**** pictures of your fantasy women, when 99% of the female population doesn't have a hope in heaven of looking that way. But that is what is shoved down our throats from childhood via magazines, tv, and you men! Then you're surprised that lots of women end up trying to fight their genetic makeup. Stop putting women down for not looking like the perfect pinup girl and just accept who they are and what they look like, then maybe they will start accepting themselves.

I looked into Rogaine, and on Amazon you can get a 6 month supply for $80. That is less than one month's cable bill. After researching, it appears for some people it works great, for others a little, and for some not at all.

    Still young...IMO. 39 strong.
Top Gun (gone) is starting to come out. Front and surrounds are still intact. Wifey wants me to try it, someone says that you don't wanna use this stuff when majority of the top is gone and try to save it. It works best prematurely.
