Phase 2 of Speaker Modifications

Well it's all done. Phase 2 is done and all that's left is to let the break in occur and enjoy.
So December of last year I began Phase 1. Well on Thursday I completed Phase 2 of this journey and the end result is simply a understatement on my behalf.
I wanted to make sure I did it right. And I had great help. I won a karma long ago for Vr3 binding post plates. Shortly after I acquired my current speakers and therefore, had no use for the plates, Trey stepped up and offered to work with me on doing my crossovers...for free. That's right, Trey karma'd his time to build my crossovers and ship them to me! And let me say folks. The quality here is amazing. The eye candy/bling or whatever the hell you want to call it is gorgeous. I'm all about the sexy and this exceeded my expectations. I'm very happy with the route I took and I have a few here to nod my head to for that. Some of you here (F1, DK, h9, Trey, others), I approached or have had advice from and I want to say thanks.
Gimpod Boards
Clarity Cap ESA 250v (Tweeters, Mids & SDA)
Mondorf Mox Resistors
Jantzen Inductors (Tweeters, Mids & SDA)
Out with the old...
Thought this was interesting... See the sharpied sticker? The other inductor has sharpie marks but the sticker was gone. I assume the inductors came from mexico?
As stated in another section of the forum, all I can say is, wow. Right out the box every song was new. The bass is unreal! I haven't spiked my speakers yet and I'm floored! BIG GRIN! NO STINKIN' SUBWOOFER!!!! Some hours on it and sound is changing. Going through it's "just let the radio play cause it's not sounding right". Can't wait for the hours to tack on. But, wow...
Everything has been done minus internal wiring. Perhaps down the road. Including what I paid for the speakers and mods, I'm into these for $1800-2000 doing rough math. And they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
Retired...

I am glad to hear you are enjoying them Andre!
The two coils on the substrate are the SDA inductor, Jantzen did not have a 18 mh so we went with two 9 mh inductors.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

Ah yes I forgot to mention I had to fabricate a solution for securing the inductor as we had a interesting task with the SDA inductor. I am really happy with the result and it was inexpensive and it's rock solid in the cabinet. Using leather to dampen between inductor and board.
Also don't be fooled by the size of those two inductors. They are not that small... -
Those look very nice. Good job on all of it --enjoy them beautiful beast..
