    She was extremely obese and they couldn't get the bar to lock but "one click" because her legs and torso were too gigantic.
    At the top of the first hump she tumbled forward out of her seat as the bar "one click" could not handle all of the weight.

    The ride attendants are usually just kids doing summer jobs so you should always use caution and if you are not of normal size and good health, you should know enough not to ride.

    Carmen Brown of Arlington was waiting in line as the victim was being secured in for the ride. She said she believed that the woman’s son was on the ride with her.

    Brown said the woman had expressed concern to a park employee that she was not secured correctly in her seat.

    “He was basically nonchalant,” Brown said. “He was, like, ‘As long as you heard it click, you’re fine.’ Hers was the only one that went down once, and she didn’t feel safe. But they let her still get on the ride.”

    She said the victim fell out of the ride as it made a sudden maneuver.

    “The lady basically tumbled over,” she said. “We heard her screaming. We were, like, ‘Did she just fall?’”

    Investigators were interviewing witnesses on the ride, some of whom reported that the woman had been thrown from the roller coaster as it rounded a turn. Arlington police declined to comment on the accident.

    Hysterical passengers had to wait to disembark as the train stopped short of the platform.

    It's was a U harness and I got my feet under the chair rail to hold me in.

    After the decapitation a few years back at the Atlanta Six Flags, you would have hoped they would have tightened-up their risk-management policies a bit. I am never taking my kids there....

    Really?

    They see thousands of people a day. Maybe I'm a little lax about it, but amusement parks seem pretty safe to me. Definitely way safer than driving to them and back is.

    Oh come on man....seriously ? Would you take them on a plane ? You know those things tend to fall out of the sky every so often.

    We aren't talking an epidemic failure here. Now carnival rides is another story. Just looking at those who set them up is enough to scare you straight back to the cotton candy line.
