Hey guys check out these speakers.... they started off as polk sda srs 2.3tl and have been modified....

http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649071091-polk_audio_23tl_modified_from_original_but_still_work_well/

my personal favourite is how the old 15" woofers didn't even have magnets. So they installed new 15" woofers with magnets.

wow....

I guess it might be worth if for the $250 if the crossovers have not been hacked up and the 6.5" drivers are still working. I could take my 2.3 and transform them into 2.3TL.

People mod the x-over, so why not mod the speaker.

Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers

There, fixed it for ya'. The same can be said for properly modding a speaker. Many here have and with successful results. Key word - "properly". What we see here is a complete disaster.
