Is your favorite artist doing ok, $$$-wise, on his/her/their current tour?

According to the below link in Billboard, some are doing quite good....and some, like Vince Neil (#152 in the chart), can't even sell 100 tix....

I find it interesting that Mark Knopfler is so admired in Europe, making so much revenue over there but seems to have a somewhat difficult time touring in the U.S. He opened for Dylan last fall, and played a full 90 minute set I think, yet nobody really knew any of his stuff outside of Dire Straits, to the point where he would announce that he wasn't taking requests for Dire Straits songs (although he did play one or two). He's selling out big venues all through Europe this summer, and seems to always do so. I suppose its like some American artists that are super popular here and not so much in Europe. In any event, I hope he tours the states again soon. Its a show not to be missed!

Heres one for ya. went to the gigantour last night 5 bands Megadeth,Black Label,Device,Hellyeah and one other I do not know as the concert started before I got off work(4:30cst). I thought that the crowd would show up as I got there at 6pm but there was less than 1000 folks in our arena that holds 6000.....pitiful. They will never be back. Why the mangament didn't let all on the floor amazed me. I'm on the floor looking up to see no one in the stands but yet they were strong arming the ones that did come down that had a stated seat.....Dave Mustane even said let them all down by god show some compasion for those who forked over their hard earned money they deserve it....but Nope! there was less than 200 on the floor that had general admission for the floor

I almost feel sorry for EC, the guy who was once referred to as 'God', isn't even selling out <2k capacity venues?I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

There is a good documentary on a band called Anvil that has some shows where only a few show up. It must really take some spirit o play for an empty house.
