Polk Audio SDA 2A

Well the time has come. I don't have the time or money to continue this project of SDA 2A speakers. They were a great system to have but with the family moving and the need to free up space, I am in the need to sell these for the right price. All of the drivers work, there is only one that would need soonish replacement.
- The tweeters were re-siliconed as the old silicon was coming off.
- All of the vinyl was carefully removed to get at the cabinets and to used high premium bondo to fill in any dings or scratches.
- Bases are in ok shape. They could be redone due to wood is starting to split. My intention was to make all brand new metal bottom and replace the wood. Thus, it would look a lot better. I was also going to hand craft some speaker legs to attach to the bottom to even improve the sound quality.
-Includes the interconnect cable as well
-has some scratches on the passive radiator, but no sound is affected by that.
-They also come with the grilles, but the cloth will need replacement
-The speakers are still "naked" as I have not placed new veneer on them because of time and money restraints. Can do on request though too.
All of the spoken modifications can be done if requested.
Again, I am selling these do to them taking up space in the garage and I personally have no need for them since I am in college. I also do not have the money to spend on a receiver to properly power these either.
I am open to all offers and willing to work with you.
Location is Shoreview, Minnesota. I don't think I would be willing to ship, just cause how expensive and the risk of damaging them.
I would like to sell them for $200.00.

That's not the way this works. Read the forum rules. If you want to sell something here, post a price. You don't use the for-sale forum to solicit offers.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I'm going to retract my $15 offer until a formal price is posted.2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

As others have said, you need to post a price per forum rules. This is not an auction site. You can simply submit a reply post with the price included this time.
-
If you'll PM what you would like to sell the speakers for, I'll add that to the original posting.
-
Pm me a price. I am interested? Iive in. Maplewood. Mn. Thanks. What does re-silicone the tweeters mean? What does that involve?"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Kind of curious about that myself.
Wonder if he means he re-siliconed the wire runs on the front face of the tweeter..."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
"Unwad those panties and have a good time man. We're all here to help each other, no matter how it might appear." DSkip -
I am thinking he means new silicone over the domes on the tweets. Seems like I remember reading someone doing that on some ADS tweets where the silicone was cracked and coming off.--Gary--

in the front, the silicon was coming off where the cables ran on the front of the tweeters. To not have that cable exposed, I reapplied silicon in the groove that the old silicon was.Receiver: Denon 1912

Is the Coffee Cup still there? I miss the Venetian Inn.. I knew old Mama Vitale and man she could cook. She would go crazy when my dad took us there and treated us like we were her own. I understand her kids ran things into the ground a few years back.
It used to have great food. I went to grade school there in Roseville way back in 1973. My dad drove snow plows for Ramsey County. For a while we lived in Little Canada, renting an old farmhouse on Labore Road. Does the Valento name ring any bells? The Gear... I've put more money into it ambiophonics. I have taken off the vinyl and bondo the scratches/dents/chips on the edges. I also redid the speaker grills with new black speaker fabric too. The only thing missing is the veneer on the cabinets. I just don't have the time nor funding to do that.
Heck I am surprised they haven't sold for this price.... It also comes with the interconnect cable too. They are great working speakers.Receiver: Denon 1912
