I'm looking for a decent set of component speakers that will fit my car (1999 Nissan Altima) and the Polk db6750s were one of the few sets that both Crutchfield and Sounddomain agreed would fit my car easily.
However I just plugged in my car data into Polk's own fitting guide and the db6750s aren't listed! I'm given the smaller set, the db6500s, as fitting.
Can someone please explain or give me a tip on what would fit?
Thankyou much,
George

The 6750s are 6 3/4" and the 6500 are 6 1/2". I knows the difference is only 1/4 inch but trust me, it makes a difference.
Probably why Crutchfield listed them as fitting is because they probably will with some cutting and elbow grease.
I would say the 6500 would be the safer bet. Ive owned a Nissan and installed speakers for friends in a couple of Nissans as well and the front door speakers have always been 6.5, except for a 95 Pathfinder that was a 5x7s. I would go with the 6500 and would wager youd have little problem making them fit.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

MacLeod,
Thanks for your quick reply. I guess I'll go with the 6500s to be safe.
