Monitor 60 vs RTi8

I am upgrading from RM6900 and trying to pick between a set of used RTi8 vs brand new Monitor 60. They cost exactly same. From reading posts here, RTi seems to be everyone's favorite but I am splitting hair since Monitor 60 has rave reviews as well on internet and they are new. They will be used for a mix of movies and music. I hate to torture myself again in few years with this selection process when there is no right answer (more like the personality test - its not possible to fail it and results are moderately diagnostic at best) and stores don't carry two side by side in Canada. Thanks in advance for the input.

I've owned both, go with the Rti8 it is honestly a better all around speaker.

    Welcome to Club Polk!

If we were comparing M-70s to Rti-8s there might be some wiggle room for a little debate, but M-60s to Rti-8s. DEFINITELY the Rti-8s!

    Enjoy!

If curiosity needs to kill the cat, post in CL if you've got one. Advertise your dilemma and see if any owners would put you up for a demo.
