Joke names given for Asiana pilots in recent SFO crash

Really? I guess they really screwed that one up. I would far prefer the track record of Fox over that of say.. Al Jezeera, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, CBS, and ABC.

An 8th grader would have known better than to broadcast that story.

While the incident and injuries were regrettable to be sure, this list of airline crew members is ..... funny. REAL funny.

To be honest, I have been laughing since I first heard about it at Friday night's poker game. The crash and deaths are tragic, and perhaps this joke was a bit too soon, but still, it is funny. Nor do I see the racist aspect. The names are puns based on similar sounding real names. If the names did not make sense from a pun perspective then it isn't a very good pun.

No worries at Pepster... We each have our own opinion, and I respect yours. My response was meant to illustrate how out of touch with reality the media in general have become. Journalistic truth has been scrapped in favor of P.C. Social Justice. Journalistic integrity has become nothing more than a script, a pretty face and a TelePrompTer.

I will say that political correctness is pushed often WAY too hard these days, but man.. people died here. I think the jokes are in very poor taste. And, actually, I don't think one should need any devastating circumstances to think that kind of humor is questionable.

Geez guys, has nothing to do with the networks trust factor no matter what network this happened on. Just one of those things that slipped by and was frickin' funny. Nothing more nothing less.

Bad taste ? Yeah.....but still funny. No sense making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

As far as proofreading goes, how about the guy who made the slide that was shown on the screen for the TV-viewing audience to see while the news anchor read the names off of the teleprompter? I'd say some of the blame lies there also.

Hilarious? Ohmygosh, yes! Damn funny! Best I've heard in a while! Pretty sad, actually, that we've almost forgotten how to laugh in this overly sensitive, PC world.

I would think crashing an airplane in perfect weather with unlimited visibility by landing short of the runway, killing three people, and injuring others would probably damage an airline's reputation more than a silly joke.
