The 5's are good and price may be okay if they are upgraded with really good capacitors but $115 + $30 takes them to Polk monitor 10's price.
    eye out for?
Everything from that era, even the 5's if price is right.
7's, 10's are great, specially with peerless tweeters.
SDA-2B and CRS+ are great to start with and not that big.

    Keep eyes open.
Depends on location but I sold my SDA-2B for $225 and monitor 10A's for $150 so no hurry.

Send him a private message. I am betting he might be willing to drive a little to make the sale face to face.

I would PM bored about his SDAs. The dude drove to Missouri for their replacements (granted, he was going there anyway but still...) so I doubt he would be as unreasonable as the seller of those 10s seems to be.

I don't know, I think the Monitor 5s might be worth a closer look. Heck, the date of his posting is 6/21, so he might be able to work a little more with you on the price. What kind of new caps were put in? Actually, just about any new ones would be an upgrade from the aged ones they replaced, but if they're some non-budget ones, all the better. And it's not a minor job to redo the veneer on those cab's. Could be a sweet pair of speakers that will likely give you many years of enjoyment.

Maybe some others that have lots of experience with upgraded/modded Monitor 5s can chime in. I think Heiney9 has such a pair.
