I'm wondering how well they are gonna match my CS400i. If anyone has them how do you like them? They were a joint venture of Best Buy and Polk and I bought mine about 3 years ago. I have the 400 model as my mains. They look nice but I want to see how they sound with my new receiver. If my damn cd player would just come, and my DVD is wrapped until Christmas.

That doesn't sound right to me. Can someone explain?

I remember seeing Eosone speakers, but I don't know much about them. They aren't made any longer, are they? Seems they were supposedly designed by a well-known speaker guy, but I can't remember the details. Curious now...

They were designed by man named Arnie Nudell. He designed the Genisis loudspeakers, very high priced, best set sells for $135,000! Don't know much about the Eosone seriese either. They disapered as quickly as they came.

Actually I emailed someone here at the polk website and that is what they told me as well as some people at hometheaterforum. Whether Polk just financially backed it or something else they were somehow involved in the speakers. But that is besides the point eheheh. I guess I'm the only one that has these speakers.

Hi guys, the Eosone name was manufactured for the Best Buy Market. Around that time we had signed on Circuit City as a customer and if we had Best Buy that would make a conflict of interest. So, there was Eosone, only for Best Buy, eventually Best Buy decided not to carry the Eosone line and it was dicontinued. I hope this is helpful info.

Thanks for the information, Jay. I had never heard that before.
Very interesting. I remember Crutchfield had them for a while. That's the only place I ever saw them.

I didn't buy any of the Eosone speakers because I already had some Polk SDA's but I did audition them one day just for the fun of it. They far outperformed anything else I've ever heard at Best Buy. (Not that you can hear ANYTHING at Best Buy with all the car subs, boom boxes, wanna be Polk Bose speakers etc all going at the same time) At one point right before they discontinued them I even gave a recommendation to a friend to buy them. Not bad sounding in my opinion.

Well that is why I first bought them. I decided I needed a stereo one day and so I went to Best Buy to get one. At first I was just going to get a new receiver and cd changer, but after hooking them up to my old speakers, I decided that I needed new speakers too. I was a n00b at the time when it comest to music and HT (still am) but I thought these were the best ones at Best Buy. I'm sure they are going to do fine in my modest setup that is soon to be complete:

    Onkyo 595
    Eosone RSF400 Fronts
    Energy eXL 15 rears
    Polk CS400i center
Sub being built by acousticvisions right now

In the future I may upgrade to Polk RT1000i or RT2000i speakers but I want my money's worth out of these, and I have no more money left to spend. :D
