Killer set list. Enjoy the show. How are your seats ?
-
Enjoy!!!!
I saw him on the Wings Over America tour in 1976, and I still rate it one of the best shows I've seen.My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
He has not been looking well as of late from what I have seen anyway. I wish I would have had the chance to see him in his prime, but I was a wee tot back then and the opportunity was never there. The Gear... Give us a report on the show. Me and my 17 year old daughter will be seeing him in a couple weeks. She's a huge Beatles fan and is super stoked to see McCartney.SystemLuxman L-590AXII Integrated Amplifier|KEF Reference 1 Loudspeakers|PS Audio Directream Jr|Sansui TU-9900 Tuner|TEAC A-6100 RtR|Nakamichi RX-202 Cassette

^ Will do. If you get a chance search up the review for the show he did at the Bonaroo (sp?) Music Fest a month or two ago. The review I read in Rolling Stone said he rocked. Gotta get there early, sound check is at 6 PM. Cheers.

Have a great time - the set list looks killer! Looking forward to a review.
Saw him in 1990 at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, one of the better concerts I've been to. He's such a great musician.
Funny story: Linda was with the band "playing" keys and it was still sort of Wings. I was in the stands not that close to the stage and she was up high on a riser. I had a pair of binoculars I was using and every time I looked at her when the keys were in the mix her hands weren't moving, just resting on the keyboard. Her mic was probably turned off too."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
Puts on a great show even for one of the OLD guys! A real pro...enjoy!!

You will be fine. I'm fixing a hole where the rain comes in....I got static in my head
The reflected sound of everything -
Well, I thought we would end up doing the Woodstock Rain Chant but the weather cleared up enough to get the show in. Last night found Sir Paul in great voice. The show was excellent, the second half of the set list really rocked and just seemed to fly by. Hearing these songs was like being in a time machine because there was a memory attached to most every one of them. Kudos to Sir Paul, I hope that I can have as much energy when I am 71. A few outstanding moments were his tribute to George Harrison on the ukulele, the small homage he paid to Jimi Hendrix (with accompanying anecdote) at the end of Let me Roll It, the pyrotechnics during Live an Let Die (a crowd pleaser), and their renditions of All Together Now and Ob La Di Ob La Da were rousing. In addition to the songs listed I got to hear the sound check which was 10 songs: 1) Penny Lane 2) C Moon 3) Let Em In 4) and Be with You 5) Things We Said today 6) Midnight Special 7)Something 8)Bluebird 9)Lady Madonna 10) A tune I didn't recognize with the words San Francisco Bay in the title which may be off of the recent "standards" album. The show clocked in at about 3 hours and a good time was had by all. The place was completely packed (Nationals Stadium full) all 3 levels, amazing. Cheers.
Update: The song I thought was titled "and be with you" is actually titled "Every Night". The song about San Francisco Bay is titled 'San Francisco Bay Blues". -
I'm glad the show was great, nice to hear Penny Lane was played.
