According to the SVS website, they are almost ready to start taking pre-orders. The price is to be around $1100.

yah so anyways, regarding the PC-Ultra. I'm not sure how SVS plans this thing to sell when the PB2+ is the same price and destroys it in output. It also looks better. About the only thing the Ultra has going for it is its smaller footprint and it's weight. Although it's still not quite an easy lift, with the CS-U being ~70 pounds I would imagine this is at least 80.

    Ceruleance.

Well the smaller footprint and the lighter weight are a reason that I was interested in the PC-Ultra. It is quite a bit over the weight I am supposed to lift, but it will be easier to move than the PB2+ or the PB2-Ultra. The PB2-Ultra is the one I would prefer, but it weighs 190 lbs. It is also to big to fit in the place I have reserved for my sub.

The PC-Ultra is probably not going to win bang for the buck honors, but since money was not the issue for me, I decided to get it instead of the PC+. It does have the better speaker and the built in eq. Also I will not be sitting here looking at the PC+ and wondering if I should have bought the PC-Ultra. ($275 difference, I think) I learned long ago that spending a few extra dollars was worth it just to help ease that feeling of "I wonder if I should have bought the better one." Anyway I ordered one Sunday night right after they came avaliable.

I am curious why you think the PB2+ will destroy the PC-Ultra? I am aware of the differences of the two subs, but I really doubt that box will destroy the tube.

double the radiating area and nearly twice the power come to mind. I doubt the Ultra driver is that much more efficient and has double the Xmax of the lesser driver.

With that said, I'm sure the CS-Ultra is an excellent sub and a good buy for the money, I just don't think it's the best bang for the buck that SVS makes if you can handle the extra weight and space.
