Someone, is running through the clubhouse trying to get their post count up. Question is, to what end?
Buying or selling?

I thought running through the clubhouse was against the rules:

    1. No bare feet
    2. No spitting
    3. No fighting
    4. No wagering
    5. No pointless political threads
    6. No completely naked pics of hot chicks
    7. No running...

You may be referring to me. And I can respect the concern. I was an active member of the community, and enjoyed coming here for advice, and often "dreaming" of finding a nice upgrade to my modest system.

Not selling... and realistically probably not buying either ...

No worries please, my intentions are not malicious! My comments are sincere! I am trying to get to the 100 post milestone, but in a genuine and sincere way. As you can see, I've been a member for over 3 years. I relied heavily on the great advice of many of you while building my current home theater system (Polk RTi-800 fronts, RT-40i center, F/X-50 surrounds, and RTi-35 rears).

I know after spending a good part of the day reading, and enjoying once again, the posts in the forum, that the intention of the 100 post milestone is to 'get to know' the people here. Again, I respect that, and after the initial frustration, actually agree. As such, I'm hoping to get more involved than I'd been in the last 2 years!

My name's Al. I fell in love with Polk Audio speakers in college in the 80s/90s when I sold plasma to buy my first pair of S6 bookshelf speakers.

I'm actually hoping to find a replacement driver for one of my RTi-800s in the FS forum. I actually posted several years ago as well looking for one. So, if you know of any...

To all the others on this thread... I look forward to sharing stories with all of you. In the meantime, I can take the jabs with a smile and I know that it's all in good fun!

Gotta go home now... the wife's gonna be mad.

I'm a hoarder - just ask my wife!

I've got a box of old cables, wired, interconnects and adapters that I can't part with. I should just offer most of the stuff up on a Karma!

A Karma is a great way to run up the post count and not draw the wrath of the old-timers.:loneranger:

I do have to laugh... When I first discovered that I could no longer just LOOK at the FS items without having the 100 posts, I searched for a rule change. I realized that many others complained about it. Some were treated a little harsh. But, many folks with higher post counts said 'no worries, just contribute, you'll get to 100 in no time.' Kind of funny that I truly try to contribute, at the advice of the 100+ (and often 1000+) folks, and get called out!

Again, I can respect the concern! And, I can take the jabs in good fun. Hopefully, I've made friends here today and not enemies. I JUST WANT TO see what y'all are selling these days!! One can dream, can't he?!?

Alright, I REALLY have to go home now. I'm in trouble...

    (Thanks again for the jabs...)

Bro, you can do whatever you want, but might I suggest being a little more subtle? Posting one word replies in otherwise dormant threads, ALL in one section of the forum, tends to be a little conspicuous:loneranger:

You do know that posts containing cat pics/gifs count double, right ?

Animated gifs of cats on rhoombas wearing shark outfits chasing baby ducks may even count triple. I'm pretty sure they do. Or should.

Wouldn't trying to be subtle be like trying to hide something? I'm not. I've been a member for over 3 years. Used to enjoy seeing what others were selling. I have no intentions to sell anything (I can't let go), but would like to be able to look again! I hadn't been on in several months and just noticed the rule change. All of my posts were on current threads (certainly not dormant for more than a day or two) and were sincere. Read some of them, you'll see they are actually sharing genuine tips/experiences! I feel like you just saw my name and assumed I posted one-word posts. Not being defensive, and actually value how concerned fellow veterans are with keeping this forum as honest as it is!

Doesn't my pic of the butts in the "post a pic" thread earn me an extra post or two? Actually, that one might be so bad I'll lose points! I actually took that picture myself (subtly with my old phone). Couldn't believe those two found each other. Here it is again in case you missed it...
