I think Luxman reached the height of its popularity in the US in the 80's, at least that's when I used to see it in stores quite often. It was upper level stuff on the order of the way Marantz used to be in the early to mid 70's.
Don't know that particular model, but some of their offerings are sought after by collectors. A quick google search shows it was made from 1980-1983, so at best it's 30 years old."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
Luxman does make some good stuff; don't have any experience with that one, but it looks great!
