This afternoon i spent moving around gear n thought id share how it came out. I listened to it for a few mins. But very pleased. It consists of Marantz----2252 b--5025b--6300TT & i thought id play with the Monitor 10's....i was thinking the Marantz might not have enough power for them. I was wrong there. I did a quick service/deoxit on the marantz. First one ever because it was out of the box recently. But why not. Hooked it all up. Turnt it on. To my surprise. Plenty of power. I thought at first too much bass. So i turnt it way down. Then up a notch or two. NICE 1/4 volume was high enough for me....i will swap out the 7's i have and compare when my other receiver gets home..the glass top table was a freebee i just got. Better than the big sheetmetal cheesy bookshelf i had. So im hoping to spin a few albums tonight :)

Congrats Randy that system looks GREAT!!!!! I knew you were looking for a 6300, welcome to the club! The 2252 and the 5025 are very nice units. You need some wood cases for those to match the 6300. That would be a nice finishing touch! Congrats again!

Hi Carl.i am very pleased with the 6300. I would like to get a new cover down the road. Prices arent too bad.i do kinda like the stock one with the emblem on them. Not sure those are available ? Boxes. Id love to get boxes for them but at 1 hundred bones each it isnt on top of my list at this moment.i sent out the 6300 for service & now the cr2040 so money is tied up elsewhere. Carl' hope your summer is going well. Randy

Nice looking gear, Randy. The Marantz cassette deck is a cool touch, it's great seeing older classics being used and appreciated.

Something about blue lights and meters just draws audio nuts to gear like flys on a cows tail. Wonder why more gear doesn't incorporate the most desired aspects of the older stuff ?

Still a kick a&& cool rig man. Take care of those babies.

that was my first Ebay electronic purchase ever. The start bid was 175.00 someone put bid. Then wife & i put 177.50 hours later & shaking like a leaf & i won it. A week before i was just looking and saw one similar go for 380.00 plus dollars & it was way out of my range i wanted to pay. Wife was laughing her ars off watching me nervously & jumping up n down. the last 60 seconds. I was tweeking out telling her to up bid. I thought for sure i wasnt getting it..long story. But funny looking back. It is a wonderful unit. Good seller & honest seller :) do you remember your first win (if you ebay) it was a experience. Lol
