right now I am running my sda 1A on a onkyo 805.
I can get a adcom gfa 535 for $50 will this push the sda? I know I would want a better amp in the long run but the price is good and just wanted to know. I cant find any info in the 535 in a 4 ohm load.

thanks for any help

It probably worth 50 bucks but its a little light for the 1a in my opinion.
    Too much **** to list....

I'd look for something else, maybe a Rotel or a higher level Adcom. The only thing I could find with any reliable information described its sound as etched and forward sounding in the highs, congested in the mid range.

I'd have already bought it, providing it's in decent condition. It's old enough that the caps may be marginal.

Well pop the hood look for leaky caps etc

Plug it in with nothing hooked up and let it run for an hour, if no smoke or hums then hook it up

The SDAs sure love the power, but I have learned watts aren't everything. With my Adcom setup which includes a GFA-555(200 wpc) and a Adcom GTP 555 pre I barely move the volume control and my wife is stomping on the floor from the upstairs. With my carver setup I can go a little ways farther before upsetting the wife. My carver setup includes a TFM-25(225 wpc) and my C1 pre. The pre amps may have something to do with it so take this with a grain of salt.

Polks need power to sing. Efficient they are not. My SDA2's are laughing at my 525 watts that I throw at them! Do I listen to them at that ear bleeding level? NO. but its nice to know that they will take whatever I can put into them.
