So what is this AVR worth? Any comments on experience I would love to hear. Is this a decent 7.1?

I'd guess $150ish? Never heard one so no comment on sound.

I had the 2801 at one time and i loved it. It was also hooked to a Denon poa2200 amp..that is a nice unit if the price is right and it fits in with your needs..maybe someone else has experience with that unit. Good luck

I run a Denon dra435r with some little Klipsch sb1's in our bedroom for rock video's and casual tv/movie and i wouldnt part with it. No idea what the specs are but that unit is awesome. I love Denon product,so i may be bias. But if i could snag that unit for a good price-id be happy. 130watts@6ohms. Not bad

My mom still is using a 2307 to run the original polk surroundbar and a psw-505. Great sounding receiver and very capable minus HDMI. It's worth what you think you're willing to pay for it. Sorry but I don't know how to value used equipment.

I had that exact model for many years, and it pushed a 5.1 RTI set up just fine. Not enough jooce for LSi's, but you probably already know that. The main reason I got rid of mine was I simply needed more HDMI inputs.

I bought it new from Crutchfield in 2007, and ended up selling it to a buddy of mine at work for $200.

Edit: You're probably not an ipod guy, but if you are, you'll need a separate dock to play the ipod through this receiver.

I passed on it. Seems a channel or two was not working. Thanks for the input though.
