    Lol tony...

Independence day for you history buffs was actually yesterday, July 2nd. That was the day 12 of the 13 Colonies ratified the Declaration of Independence. The final draft of the document was approved on July 4th and was signed by only one delegate, John Hancock. New York colony did not authorize ratification of the Declaration until the 9th of July. The remaining signatories of the document did not sign it until August 2nd.

Yesterday's anniversary was spent in thankful prayer, fasting and solemn remembrance of the sacrifices made for our liberty. Tomorrow will be spent in celebration of our freedom, and August 2nd will again be spent in fasting and prayer, only this time will be to ask God for his divine provenance to restore and preserve those liberties afforded to us by his grace.

I don't expect others to understand why I do things this way, but I am sure that most of you know just how deeply I take my love of country.

I wish I knew where the Mexicans in my neighborhood get their fireworks. Sometimes on the 4th I think I am in Baghdad during our invasion. Anyway, the point here is they are into the 4th more than us 'natives', at least in an illegal, celebratory manner. And that is the real spirit of this occasion.

Happy 4th of July, and many more.

Won't it be cool if July 3 becomes Egypt's Independence Day? I hope that place finally gets their act together and goes secular.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

    Happy 4th to everyone!

I'm going to celebrate in typical fashion today: leisurely breakfast with the family, then a movie, relax on the back patio with some favorite music, fire up the grill for some good old fashioned hot dogs, and something cold to drink, then watch the fireworks from my back yard.

I'm afforded these freedoms by those who came before - and I am very grateful and thankful.

Special day for a special country - keep the spirit alive and pass it forward.

But enjoy the day and every day as well - every moment should be special.

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.
