Thanks I just got the Polk fx surround and my speaker is behind couch and one wall is 4 ft away and other is 14 feet and the Polk chart measurements came up to 35 feet for left surround which manually only goes to 30 on receiver but if I locate my mic and do auto setup then I can tweek it.

What went bad on the mic? Is it just a broken wire, connector? Could possibly fix it.

I was able to use a audyssey on my pioneer and a pioneer mcacc on a marantz. I think the setup is just looking for a mic.
