Years ago I had a PL-200. It was a rather nice TT and I was sorry I traded it in on an Onkyo that had more bells and whistles but poor isolation. It got fried during an electrical storm. I replaced it with a Pioneer PL-530 that I picked up 20 years ago in a yard sale for $35 and I still have today.

    Thanks for the kind words.
It sounds very good my first Empire 2000 E/III Cartridge this is the crystal stylus and from what is can gather you can't buy it anymore it's thinner than the replacements that are offered OEM.
I also have a Pioneer Pl510A (a tank) but I was looking for something automatic so I don't have to watch it so closely.

For the bedroom I have this little Technics SLBD1 also a manual unit

A couple of weeks ago i picked up a Pioneer pl88fs for 20.00 bucks. Cant go wrong when you a good deal on a turntable that is ready to play. Seems like some just stop using them & then they collect dust. GOOD FOR US that want to rotate things around in our systems

I love the look of the Marantz. I sold one for a friend about a year ago (to a Polkie in Pa.), just needed some Deoxit I think and a good cleaning inside but otherwise was as nice as yours apparently is. Beautiful TT.

    Here's my Technics SL - 2000.
I got this off ebay a while back from an older lady that had never sold anything on Ebay.
She was a musician and used it for practice till Mp3's came along.
Anyway she took it down to the UPS office in an old super thick green with paisley slipcover for a sofa size pillow and told them to box and wrap and ship for her.
Kinda sad she spent $48 shipping it to me and had replaced the cartridge about a year ago for $45.
She never has listed anything on ebay since.
    How do I know?
We talked on the phone 3 times since the sale at first she called to thank me for buying it then she was concerned on it's arrival and then if I was pleased and told me that was it, never again, some people you will never forget.

I had a 10.00 item on Craigslist. I thought ad ran out. A guy from Pennsylvania called me. Asked if id ship it to him. Well i said'then said yes. It cost 16.85 to ship. Box tape gas. And i think when i was done i made 6.00--probably wouldnt do it again. But he got it. He was VERY happy with item. He said same item on Ebay would have been 50.00 + shipping & it was not in NO WAY NEAR condition. So it made my day'to help someone

Nice Pioneer. I wonder who made the TT for Marantz. I have a Sanyo that is very similar - especially the levers & adjustable weights for anti skate, etc. To be honest, I have the Sanyo just about refurbished & have no idea how to do the adjustments.
