Polk SDA 2B - pristine!

I purchased these new in 1988 from Sheffield Audio and will give you a copy of the receipt. These are what got me hooked on SDA. As a result of having these, I also acquired a pair of SRS's a few years ago. I recently moved and now I have absolutley no place to put these. They are completely stock, and pretty much pristine. The grill cloth is a bit dusty and has a couple of snags here and there. I of course have the cross-over cable. They look like wood cabinets, but I believe the finish is actually vinyl. If I am correct, that makes these the 'studio' model. I want them to go to a good 'polkie' home - someone who know what they are and will enjoy the benifits of the SDA technology. I'm sure they could sound even better with the upgrades (crossover, etc.). I do not want to ship them, but if you arrange for picking them up and someone doing the leg work that would be fine. Even though my sig say 'Houston' I actually live in Missouri City which is about 15 miles South of Houston. I do not have any electonics connected, but they sound great and work flawlessly. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm not trying to get every last cent out of these, and for what I know my asking price of $200 on this forum is very reasonable.
SDA SRS modded: Xovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDOd, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

These are indeed a great price and a fine set of speakers. After considering it, I just don't have any space for them. If you saw my speaker list, you'd think I was insane already. I need to assemble my CRS+'s and get those up and going before I buy more.
I will pass on these. For now. There's a couple of Houston area polkies that should consider these. -
I'll consider your advice Dave. Sent pm to dcoil asking that he add me to the list of potential buyers.

Well, finally got together w/ Karl and my SDA 2B's now have a new home. I could tell from the outset they will be properly cared for and appreciated by Poilkie2009. It's was nice to meet in person w/ another PF member. What a great community!SDA SRS modded: Xovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDOd, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! It was a pleasure to meet you Doug, and thank you for the wonderful compliment, you are a great CP member and I encourage other members here to do business with him. Doug really_ takes care of his equipment, the SDA-2B's are just as he described, Pristine! I finally had the time Sunday to hook these beautiful speakers up to my Parasound HCA-1200II amp and they sound spectacular! They look right at home now next to the SDA/SRS 2's. Thanks again Doug for a stellar transaction sir!
