To be honest, I am not a huge soccer fan and do not watch it that often but I do enjoy it now and then.
I learned to appreciate it when I was living in Mexico many years ago.
I am watching the Brazil-Spain game right now and, man, it is an exciting game.
Brazil is leading 2-0 at halftime.
It is the finals of the Confederation Cup.
Are there any soccer fans on CP?
What is your favorite team?

I dig me some soccer. Been involved with it for years at the rec level. Watch the Crew and of course USA. Cant wait for the World Cup!

I watched the Brazil v. Spain match. Although Brazil made Spain look like an average team, I suspect if the match had been played in Europe several Brazilian player would have been booked for kicking the little Spanish players around the field and it would have been closer. Spain couldn't get their rhythm going without being swarmed. Looked like the same thing Bayern Munich did to Barcelona in the Champions League final, although Bayern Munich may have a better team than Brazil. I'm wondering what a full strength Italian or German team would have done with Brazil, or will do next year at the World Cup.
Best play of the match, David Luiz making a goal line clearance after playing the Spanish players onside. -

My wife is from Brasil, so I have to wear a green "BRASIL" shirt on the days they play.
