R50 vs RTi70 vs RTi8 vs RTi100

Originally I was set on buying a set of RTi8's but I'm seeing the R50's on sale for $199 vs $349 for the RTi8's. And the RTi100's are $197. Are the RTi8's worth the extra money?

Thanks in advance

The Rti8's sound MUCH better than the R50. Night and Day difference. CC has just lowered the price on the Rti8's to 314.99.

It depends on what type of system u already have.

I have the R50 for now. I bought them cause i got a great deal at Fry's over the summer. $198/pr. Couldn't beat that for the budget i planned to start out with.

The R50 are doing the job for me good sound for what i payed for them.

I work there. I just used their upgrade program to trade-in my Rti70's for some Rti8's.

I am about to do an upgrade also at circuit city. When u upgrade something do have to up grade the same type?

EX. If ur taking the center channel back do you have to get abother center channel? Or can u take the center channel back and get a Sub or some other speaker that is of greater value?
Not sure if there is any fine print or what ever cause i have seen the signs in the CC and was told about it when i bought my speakers. But the sales man didn't go int o much detail.

You can upgrade a pair of speakers for a more expensive pair, or a subwoofer for a more expensive subwoofer. I don't think the center channel is part of the deal. I would call and ask about the center channel before you drag it down there.

I checked the CC stores around San Jose, CA. RTi8 is still 349/each. Never see the 314 as mentioned above
