As of COB today, these numbers represent totals for both here and AK:
$2,063 in checks made out directly to The Githens Center and hand delivered by me 1 Jan - 28 Jun.
$5,089 is the available balance in the account I set up just for this endeavor (Project X), and the amount I will write them a personal check for, and TRY to hand deliver tomorrow, (Monday, 1 Julio) but I am a doofus and don't know if they're closing for the holiday week or what. This is a departure (not the doofus area) from past years, when I didn't write them a check until Christmas time. Yes the check was larger, but they were deprived of the use of the money all year long. Not good.
So total to date is $7,152 for 2013. Not too shabby.
Thanks to everybody who participated, this year and in the past.

"...Dominique, nique, nique, over the land he plods
And sings a little song
Never asking for reward"
Kind of think these lyrics of The Singing Nun are kind of appropriate, IMO. Very nice work, Mr. Grand.
P.S. just please don't ever mention work(s) by the Singing Nun again. Still can't get that song out of my head. :redface:Sal Palooza -
