So how was your Friday?

Had to come on here and write some notes about the wonderful Friday I had. I received a phone call from my boss and given a promotion. In addition to my technician duties I am also the companies health and safety coordinator/manager. (They haven't figured out what title they want me to have or go on the business cards). I'm thrilled to begin this new opportunity that began immediately. With the new position comes a company vehicle for travel to the job sites, my own office space and tools (computer, etc) to begin.
Whats the kicker? Well, on top of the initial raise which took effect Friday, I will be getting a second raise effective January 1, 2014. It's huge for us and with the struggles we faced last year, I'm now making more money then I ever have before. It allows me to start building that foundation for our first home and other future endeavors with time more comfortable and quicker than before. A lot quicker. It also means I can get some new gear. :razz:
Speaking of gear... its no secret that I have been wanting to get my crossovers done in my 3.1TL's since purchasing them last June/July, can't remember what month but a year ago for sure. Well I received this email yesterday evening with a couple pictures and a message saying "Decent update, looking good for a Monday/Tuesday ship date!
". Pictures do the talking...
Did the rough math last night and concluded that I've dropped over $1,000 of mods into my speakers and I'm still not done! Any $1,800 speakers out there that can best mine, come on down! hahaha...

Congrats Drenis! Experience has shown that, with the odd exception, people get promoted because they've earned it. I'll count you as NOT the odd exception :cheesygrin: And making more money living in this city is always a bonus. Good luck as you look forward to your future home.

Now, my Friday.....went with the wife inviting a neighbor over to sit out on the deck, drink some wine and listen to some music. Wound up with 5 neighbors, a case of beer later and 8 bottles of wine, until after 2 a.m. Can't afford this crap anymore.HT SYSTEM-
