I did a little reading on that sub, and would probably pass on it.

It looks like you're putting together your first HT. I've never owned this model of M&K sub, but most likely it's an older model (2000?) and more apt for a stereo set up, although it does have the thx endorsement. I would guess it's going for a price around $150 ??? If you're really wanting a sub for HT, get something newer and spend at least $400.00

Unfortunately, the only M&K subs I've owned were some of their earlier models like the V2 ,V3. I'm sure M&K's later subs were much better. Mine sounded very nice for music and decent for HT. Realized like so many others here that I needed to throw more cash into the system to get quality bass for HT. Due to a large Cu.Ft. listening room, I ended up buying 2 new subs and retired the M&K's. With your quality of equipment soundfreak1 , you've got an excellent system going, hope you find some really nice subs to go with it.
