Yamaha PC2602 amp?

I have an opportunity to buy a pair of these monsters for a reasonable price, any one have any experience with these in a home setting?
I currently have a adcom gfa5500 with RTA 11Ts, wondering if I will be happier with one of these yamaha amps.
They can push 800watts into 8 ohms in mono, may be a little too much.
I would probably buy the pair and sell one.
Any thoughts?

It may sound good in your home, but I would demo it first. Some pro amps have a higher noise floor, and can hiss or hum through your speakers. It may sound good, but you'll never know until you try it!
