I built this setup http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?149979-FrankenPolk-Crown-XLS-review
I am not liking the amp over where the sub is. I would prefer to have it in my tv stand. The problem I have and the reason for my question is that the sub is in the opposite corner of my room. Its about 30ft of wire run. What gauge would be good to use and is it even a good Idea to do that run. Max ouput of the amp is 700watt if that even matters

Unless the real impedance of a sub is very low.
I think that 12 AWG would be good. -
its 8 ohm at most I might end up getting a 4 woofer. The amp is only stable to 4 ohms bridged I believeHT Rig Samsung 64F8500 |Pioneer Elite BDP-52FD|Pioneer Elite VSX-32| Two Carver TFM-15cb Bridged for mains|Polk Audio RTiA5 Cherry|Polk Audio CsiA6 Cherry|Polk Audio T-15 Heights|Polk Audio FXia6 Surround|DIY 8cuft Dayton Ultimax 15" powered with a Crown XLS1000

12ga will be fine, and IIRC, it's also the largest you can use for a Speakon connection."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
