Klipsch vs SVS

Anyone have any experience with Klipsch subs? I really want an SVS PB1 but I've got a couple hundred in Best Buy gift cards. They have the KSW-12 for $449. At first I was impressed with the 440 watts of peak power but then I see that it only has 105 watts RMS (continuous). What (if anything)would I be giving up going with the Klipsch. Here's a link to the KSW-12 specs

I don't think any sub can compare to SVS at the same price point, but here you're talking about a $350 sub vs a $600 sub...
I think "ownage" is the word you're looking for.
Get the SVS and spend the BB money on DVDs!- Sony 50"A3000 SXRD; Onkyo TX-SR 805
- Polk RTi150 mains; CSi30 center; FXi3 surrounds, R15 backs
- Velodyne CHT-12 subwoofer -
Specs mean virtually nothing. Who cares many watts it is? How does it sound? IMO, the KSW12 is a one-note wonder and I wouldn't own one. Use the gift cards on movies and music and order a subwoofer and not just a booming box.

I agree with Fireshoes. Save your gift card on DVDs that have lots of bass once you've purchased a good sub. Instead of looking at specs, buy based on your budget and subs that are highly rated within your budget. For instance, if your budget is less than $500, then definitely buy a Hsu VTF-2 or STF-2. Check out professional reviews as well as consumer reviews (see www.audioreview.com).HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
