Thanks to MikeReeter these SRS-2s have a new home. I took advantage of the fact my brother in-law was heading towards Olathe, KS. Not the best photo in the world, I will try to get some better ones tomorrow. They are currently hooked up to one of my TFM-25s, with a Carver C1 pre. So far I am quite pleased with these new acquisitions. I cant wait to hook them up my my Carver M1.5t.

While looking at the map, A is also F and B is also E. I guess in google maps they don't show both.

Glad you made the trip home and have the SRS 2's in their place, enjoyed meeting you and your bro-in-law. Feed your new SDA's a steady diet of clean power and good music and they will serve you well. Happy that a c.p. member has taken ownership and will give them a good home.

They were pre modded when I bought them, the full package from my understanding.

They are infinity RS-6Bs, these were my first real pair of speakers. Bought them and stands off of great gentleman in Indy.

They made the trip with out any problems. It was a pleasure meeting you. I wish we would have had more time to talk. I would of loved to pick your brain about your tube amp. They will have a great diet of power from my Carver M1.5t.

I volunteered to take my brother out to Olathe KS. It was shortly after that the Mike mentioned he still had them for sale. After that is was a no brainer to me, I would be bringing these back home some how.

Question: Will these accept the dreadnaught?

Does anybody know if these blade/blade SDA SRS 2 will accept the AI-1 dreadnaught. The SDA handbook says no, but since these have been TL modded I was wondering if the TL mod supersedes the SDA handbook.

I was holding off saying anything because I was hoping someone else would chime in on this. I knew for a fact I was able to use a dreadnaught on my pin/blade SRS2's because of their serial numbers. I was thinking the dreadnaught couldn't be used with the stock blade/blade SRS2's and I wasn't 100% sure if it could be used with the TL modification. There's a number of old posts about this , but I was too lazy to check it out. Hope you can use the dreadnaught with yours!

Those are 4 ohm speakers. Give them plenty of power and they will rock the house. I had a set of the SRS 2 b/b They had excellent bass and were great with rock music. I have the P/B SRS 2 now. Same great sound just a little easier to drive. I am sure you will enjoy them. What mods were done to them?

The TL mod is nothing more than replacing a 4.4uF capacitor with a 5.8uF capacitor, and stuffing in RD0-198 tweeters in place of the SL2000s. Does nothing for the SDA section of the crossover, which is where the problem with the AI-1 is located.

The speakers can be modified to use the AI-1, (I performed this experiment on my SDA 1Bs, electrically identical to your speakers except for one resistor in each crossover) but since it degrades the sound quality considerably, for practical purposes NO you cannot use the AI-1/Dreadnaught.
