Cash and carry. Purchased from daboyz just a few weeks back. I like them, don't love them.

Will consider partial trade for rtia3's or close to straight trade for lsi9 depending on shape of yours.

view this thread for more details or pm me.

thanks for the ad!

thanks for the bump. I am never happy with anything, always looking for an upgrade. I don't like extra stuff laying around, either, so i try to price stuff to move.

Are you going to buy my a1's for $100 or what?

My main hobby is pinball machines, so i know your frustration. I guess i'll learn my lesson and stick to bookshelves with subs going forward. way easier to ship. lol.

Nope, no inquiries. Going to throw them on ebay in the fall if I don't sell or do the subwoofer upgrade.

Off the market for now unless someone really had their heart set on these prior to me posting this. The used gear selling/buying has really seemed to drop off lately. Can't find anything to buy and can't seem to sell these for what i think is fair. Probably just summer.

I think you are right... this a great price for nice speakers but like you said the selling and buying of used gear here has slowed down for the summer. Maybe Agon or Craigslist is a option. I had the same problem selling my two Parasound amps and really got no takers here for weeks. Ended up selling them both on CL and privately. It is about timing and maybe in the Fall it will be better. Anyways, good luck!

I don't want to sell them badly enough to put up with craigslist. That being said, I think that's the only way I end up selling anything. Lol.

I'm throwing these on craigslist in the next few days or so with ebay to follow. I'm having room placement issues, i.e. the wife won't let me put the things where they sound best and i can't deal with them sounding bad due to room placement.

No snide comments about getting rid of the wife, please.

How bad is bad? My 15's are about 3 ft from either side wall and are basically on either side on my entertainment center and I can space em out any farther (for same reason as you).

My wife wants them tucked in the corner where the short wall meets the long wall, pointing towards the middle of the room. The backs of the speakers are one inch from hitting the wall, the front about a foot. I realize that is completely wrong. lol.

I guess my main issue is I liked the overall presentation of my 7's better as the highs seemed cleaner, not hidden behind the extra bass. The extra bass is welcome SOME of the time but sometimes it just seems obtrusive with these. Personal preference at play here, i think.

I noticed one of the speaker spike mounting holes is damaged. The spike and thread came out when i took the spikes out.

Posted on cl for more than here.

I moved them around and also started listening to them with my cd player as opposed to my ipod and they sound a ton better. I also just sold my 2nd set of speakers pending pickup this afternoon, so now these are all i have. i guess what i'm saying is i need to get another pair of speakers if i'm foolish enough to sell.

edit: i added the ipod thing because i knew it would induce some facepalms. I have not been listening to the speakers this whole time with the ipod exclusively. I'm not THAT dumb.

Buy daboyz LSi 7s lol. Then put a sub wherever you can. That might help with placement options.

Well... I listened to the 1984 instrumental by Van Halen at extreme volume today and it made me tear up a little. I think i'm going to keep them for now. I also listened to Paranoid and I almost thought Bill Ward was in my basement during Rat Salad and Fairies Wear Boots.

Sorry about the flip/flopping. I'm down to one set of speakers now, anyhow.
