Acurus RL11 pre-amp. neutral, detailed, and nice low end. Good shape, no remote. There is a generic remote on Ebay, but I have never used it...

Buyer pays shipping, lower 48 only. $300

Parasound HCA 1200 II. Probably a 6 or7 out of 10 cosmetically. Faceplate has marking where rack handles were once installed. The top has the usually light marks from equipment sitting on top. Operates as it should.

PayPal. I have never sold anything here, but i have an excellent Ebay rating, if that helps. moosteve65.

If you want more pics of something specific, let me know.

Thanks

Nice pre! Did you use it with the Parasound? Curious as to any impedence issues.

I did use them together and no, not that I found .
would still be using the Acurus, but my NAD 116 pre just sounded more meshed with the B&K currently in my line up.

Steve is a fantastic seller. At least in the computer world he is...and buyer too. Think I sold him stuff long ago on the OC forum we both frequented.

Possibly interested in the pre but haven't yet sold myself on needing a pre as I enjoy my NAD too.

thanks you ZTFUL for the kind words from a galaxy far, far away.... I actually just recently sold some stuff there to Shrimp and Scott... trying to get back there more often.
and I would have responded sooner, but just got back home from Johnson... nephew's graduation party.
it was tough as I was auditioning 2 DACs and the two preamps.... and then two amps. ZThis whole decision took at least two months, and even though the B&K was the last entrant, it still was not an obvious choice. The NAD is rounder and warmer, with perhaps more thump down below, and I wouldn't say I was sacrificing a LOT of detail, but the Acurus is just that much more precise, with what I consider to be a controlled low end, but not without depth. it pretty much came down to horns and vocals, and with the Peachtree/B&K combo.... the NAD just did it for me. but not with the Parasound. I much preferred the Acurus when I was running that amp.

Parasounds are easy to live with. A solid choice with a wide variety of speaks. They can be twitchy with non parasound pre amps tho in my limited experence

I bought the amp and must say that Steve has been great to deal with. He gets back to you quickly with answers and is very careful that he wants things to go well for both parties. Deal with confidence.
