Hello:
My first venture at the Home Theater experience was in 2009. I started from the ground up with an Onkyo TX-SR806 receiver and a set of Polk RM-95 speakers. (5.1) All was great and I really enjoyed my system.
Recently I have decided to upgrade my system: My upgrade may consist of the following items:
1. Onkyo TX-NR818 Receiver
2. Polk RTiA7 fronts
3. Polk CSiA7 center
4. Polk F/XiA6 surrounds
5. My sub is a Polk DSW Micropro 2000

I have already purchased the TX-NR818 receiver, but would like comments and suggestions on the speakers I have listed. I will also be using this set up with my TV (Samsung UN55F8000).
I have been browsing the forum and noticed suggestions from responses to other posts not to mix your speakers. I think this list is not mixed. If so would appreciate suggestions.
Hopefully I have included enough information so that someone can reply with information.
Thanks in advance.
Chas

That is going to be a terrific system, all you need to get to finish it off is a five channel 200wpc amp to power all of your speakers to their full potential. Your system will keep you happy for many years to come.

Yea the RTi's are real nice speakers. Your receiver will power them for now but when the upgrade bug hits again go for an external amp, at least for the front 3. It really brings the RTi's alive.

Yes, add an amp while your at it, at least a two channel for the fronts.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Welcome to CP. I used a TXNR809 to run a 5.1 system with SDA 2.3 as my R/L and the sound was great. Enjoy!
