A9 amp/preamp question

I just ordered and have not received yet pair of A9's. I was planning on running my left and right channels of an Onkyo TX-NR515 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver to a 555 adcom amp. I just read something about using a receiver that has preamps out. I am pretty sure my reciver does not. Will this be a problem?

i found a zone 2 option that treats the 515 as a preamp basically. Not exactly what I had in mind. I still would like to know what happens if I connect the 555 directly to the amp? I have 10 more days still to return this amp. So another question is what would be a a good recommend (under $1000 and hopefully lower) receiver to use with the A9's?Fronts: Polk RTiA9

If you would like to stay with Onkyo, look at the 8xx series for an AVR with pre-outs. Check accessories4less.com for a returned unit for a great price. Just check around for a unit from Pioneer, Harmon, Yamaha, maranta or any of the usual manufacturers.Home Theater

You can't connect an amp to a receiver without the preouts, if your receiver doesn't have any then buy one that does. Many to choose from, new/used.HT SYSTEM-

I bought a Onkyo TX-NR809 after double checking that it does have preouts. Thanks for the help guys.Fronts: Polk RTiA9

Thinking of getting a pair of these and running off of 2 audiosource amp 310's in bridge mode, do they need this kind of power to operate well at high volume levels?

Bridged mode at higher volumes probably isn't going to sound too good with those amps. Buy a real 2 channel amp from Adcom, B&k, Parasound, etc. For around 400 bucks used.HT SYSTEM-
