Michael William
And, yes, the picture quality couldn't have been worse even if I tried.
But it's all good. They have him in the NIC unit, but that's because he showed up 3 weeks early and his lungs were just slightly underdeveloped. Straight hospital air, slightly pressurized to help breathing, but AOK.
... he's pretending like he's sleeping but I know better. Caught him turning his head and opening one eye, figured he inherited what his older 2-year old sister has: bitegrandpaitis. Yeah, he's not fooling me ! I'll be watching ....
So 10 fingers, 10 toes, eyesight, hearing, etc all good so .... it's all good.
It came to light that a possible name for Michael William had been ....... Thad.
With all due respects to anybody named "Thad", ..... geez, you might as well as gone ahead and tattooed on his forehead, "Hit Me".
I was kind of partial to "Jack Vale" after one of the 21st century's greatest inventors, but that got shot down. That's okay, though. Michael William, no matter what his name, is off to a good start !

He mostly looks like my dad, his great-grandpa. Except for the pic where's he's sprawled out; that kind of looks like me in the LazyBoy. Except he has undergarments on whereas I .... well ....
A little better focused picture from last night:
His sister was in the hospital for about 4 weeks but we're thinking only another 4 or 5 days before Mr. Mikey heads back home.
Good hospital, excellent staff and nurses, only thing deficient is the hospital cafeteria food here. I'd be reluctant to feed it to a government mule.
So thanks for the welcomes and good wishes, Mr. Mikey appreciates it. :biggrin:Sal Palooza -
Congrats!
One thing that you may want to do....contact your congressman and request Presidential Greetings from the White House for your new child. I did this when my son was born in 2003 and the Bush's sent a VERY nice note. Hand signed by both W and Mrs. Bush. Quite a memento for my son. Also did it for my father on his 80th - he's a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. A nice hand written note from W for him.
Here's an article outlining how to do it. http://usgovinfo.about.com/cs/consumer/a/greetings.htm Interestingly enough, it only took a couple of weeks to get ours. I've heard the current administration takes months, and some are never sent, so plan accordingly. My 7.4.4 DIY 4k Home Theater:

That is awesome ! Thanks for the heads up, Rtart.
Somewhere, on one of my computers, I have bookmarked some stuff of a similar nature involving NASA.
"Name a Star", "Put Your Name on A Voyager Plaque", "Own a Piece of the Moon" or some such stuff. I'll have to dig that up, too.
Thanks !
BTW, Jr is home now, eating well, already sleeps 2-3 hours after day feedings, 4 hours after a night feeding, pretty regular in the "diaper loading" department, got solid, distinguishing, "I'm Hungry" and "My diaper's wet" cries ...... All Good ! :cheesygrin:Sal Palooza -
Congrats on the new family member!
