My dad recently gave me a set of polkaudio speakers. He never used them and didn't mind me taking them when I moved out. Only problem is I have no idea how to get them working.
The set is made up of one subwoofer, four satellites, and one central. The model number is RM6000BD. Below are a couple pictures of them

My Memre also gave me a soundbar as a graduation gift. I'm not sure what to do with it, or if I would be able to incorporate it into my home theater system.

Any help woul be greatly appreciated and letting me know what I need, and I need to do to get these going.

Pretty much everyone on here has more experience than I do, but it sounds to me like first you need a receiver, which is also called an AVR. What you get depends on your budget, entry level is probably in the $250 range for the AVR, and you have small speakers so can probably get away with a lower cost unit. There are lots of choices out there, and what you buy depends a lot on your budget and whether you want to expand your system later and upgrade your speakers.
Then you need a set of wires for the center channel and the four satellite speakers, or just a roll of about 50 - 100 feet of 12 to 16 gauge wire and you can make your own wires. If you do that, you should probably also buy some banana clips for each end of the wire after you cut it to the various lengths you need. How many feet of wire depends on your layout. You will also need to connect the sub to the AVR and you can do that with the same wire, or buy a subwoofer audio cable. You can get the wire and bananas from Monoprice.com for a cheap price and it should be good enough for a start.
The soundbar is designed as a stand-alone unit and you don't need it as part of your 5.1 surround setup. It's meant to be a low cost, space saving replacement for surround systems.
I hope this helps a little and I hope some other members chime in with more info and suggestions. -
Thanks for your help

Jimbo pretty much covered it but I wanted to fix the image links in your original post for you...I don't like having to go to a difference page to view images...I'm lazy that way. Hehe.

I guess you could use all that stuff, IF you spent the money for an AVR with preouts. Be pretty funky though:twisted:I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
