Far beyond what i could fix. I have no real wood working tools. Really don't have the skills to fix it.
The tops are pretty much junk, one bottom is missing on one..which maybe i could deal with, but on one, the side is separated from the back and the insulation is sticking out. Plus frozen drivers to boot. Really even $400 seems alot from my point of view.
But the chances of these speakers making an 800 mile ride in a shipping truck and ending up in 1 piece, at all is pretty debatable.
But i would like to know if these "donut" drivers are active or PR stuff.
Yea..those in ebay are junk. Dont waste the dough. They are barely worth the value of the parts that are still functional.Too much **** to list.... -
They are active, not passive. Seller doesn't know what he's talking about.

Yea those are very bad maybe $200 in parts. The donut drivers are active at least they are supposed to be, his probably are not, the donuts are supposed to add bass.POLK SDA 2.3 TLS BOUGHT NEW IN 1990, Gimpod/Sonic Caps/Mills RDO-198

To be a bit more accurate, the donut drivers are weighted to tune the frequency response towards the lower end as Polk felt there was too much mid-range otherwise.Political Correctness'.........defined

Good information! So in the 2.3tls they simply changed the drivers and the crossovers to do the same thingTo be a bit more accurate, the donut drivers are weighted to tune the frequency response towards the lower end as Polk felt there was too much mid-range otherwise.POLK SDA 2.3 TLS BOUGHT NEW IN 1990, Gimpod/Sonic Caps/Mills RDO-198
