Might be time to head down to a store tomorrow to have a look.

Scary prices indeed. I got the 550 sub at Best Buy here just after Christmas for $350, I see it's $500 at Future Shop. I guess carrying the LSiM line was...unexpected? Interesting to see what they have in store, looks like most of the products listed revolve around an online purchase.

Yeah I am going to pop in today to see what stock, if any they do have. Visions used to be the store in Canada to buy the flagship Polk products (LSi series). It's somewhat unexpected because it was over a year ago I was told from a Polk higher up that LSiM series would be coming to Future Shop in the near future. After a year went by I thought it was hog wash. There really isn't anywhere here to hear them. -
Thats great! Been wanting to hear them for awhile now.

Yeah, getting harder to find places to test drive equipment for sure. Visions got me started with Polk, late last year they had the Monitor 75t for $368 a pair, definitely a step up for me, and I was able to demo them there, helping me make my decision to purchase. Interested to see what you find in-store at Future Shop. -
Nice - I know for the RTi line they would have really nice sales around Christmas - I'll have to keep an eye on them....

Well a visit netted NADDA. Not a single polk product except for a few pairs of RTiA7's and A3's. I saw a A6 center but that was it. Mostly Klipsch and Energy speakers... what a waste of gas today. For fun I strolled to find a Polk surroundbar, nothing. Disappointed yet again. As a store, why sell a product for a company if you don't give a hoot about marketing it?

I haven't checked out my local Future Shop yet. Hopefully I don't run into the same problem. I agree that it would be poor marketing if they don't have a demo on the floor. Maybe it's just new and they haven't got any of the line in yet for display. Hopefully it's not only going to be availble on line. Time will tell.... -
I was told today that LSiM launched in May at FS. Should be ample time to get demos and products stocked and setup...

It was advertised and I went into the store in Transcona only to be told "we don't stock that, never have...and as I look across the country, NOBODY has it in store." I made the purchase blind via their online route, though it turned out to be a good experience. It appears that's the way they're heading. Both the Best Buy there, and the Future Shop that was still open at the time, had massive amounts of boxed inventory clogging up their demo room, and they didn't seem to be in a hurry to return it to a listening area.
Yes... I bought the last pair of RTi A9's in MB back in 2011 from the Brandon store (5 hr round trip). They were never shown as in store ever or in stock online. I just happen to call during a sale and the last and only pair was tracked down. The sales guy had said that 20 pairs were on order and already sold due to the sale. They need to have one signature store in every major city that has all the big boys that they sell/promote. ESPECIALLY if they have a webpage they built for the manufacturers products!! -

Hmmm, wonder how Polk feels about it. -
I saw that too on their website. I will be going to check them out. I am not going to upgrade any time soon not at 1649 per speaker.! No way! I can do much more with 3K than buy 2 speakers.
