Opinions on SDA 2's?

I found a set of these fairly local to me for $50. I offered him $100 as his asking price was just too ridiculous. Pics show they are in pretty good condition. He says everything works fine and he has the original interconnect cable. I'm picking them up tomorrow.

From what I understand, these are the original versions with the dimensional tweeter. Just wondering what I can expect with these. I used to own RTA12C's but these will be my first SDA's. I will driving these with an Adcom GFA-535. Will my CS400i be a good match for these? I will be using them mostly for movies but will occasionally listen to music.

    Yes, HTG'82, the CS400i will be a very good match to your "new" SDAs. If anything, I think you might find that you will want, in time, to give them a little more juice than the GFA535 provides.

    I would have just brought the set for $50.
    Why would you offer him more?
    Or you could have said well all I have is $45:cheesygrin:

    The extra $50 was really an effort to ensure he would hold onto them until tomorrow. :cheesygrin: Even at $100, I feel like I'm stealing them.

    Unfortunately I wasn't able to get them. I goofed and thought the seller was 2.5 hours away from me. Turned out he was actually almost 5 hours away. 10 hour round trip, just couldn't do it. :sad:
