I've really gotten away from photography in the year or so. Now I mostly use a small point and shoot (albeit one with a nice lens and good low light performance..XZ-1).

I realized that I hadn't even taken my DSLR out of the case for close to a year!

SO, long shot here probably, but I'm selling my Pentax K20D body with a standard kit lens (FA 18-55mm AL II), 2 Pentax branded batteries, charger, caps, hood, eye piece cover, cable, discs, manuals, original box, etc. Basically everything that was with the kit when I bought it in 2010. I checked the other day and this camera barely has 3200 shutter actuations! Pentax says its good for 100k. Batteries still hold excellent charge. Everything looks and works just about like new. I'll throw in a 4GB SDHC cardas well. That size is good for about 270 full size/top quality photos. RAW photos will be a little larger.

This was Pentax's 14.6MP 'flagship' model in 2008-2009 era (until the K-7 came out in mid-09). It had all the advance features of the time. In camera "shake reduction" means that it works with ALL lenses. PKA mount means all of the old Pentax glass works too (along with all of the Vivitar, Sigma, etc PKA mount glass). This is a near pro-level camera with dust/moisture seals on the body (take it to the beach, no problem...light misty rain, no problem!). It has lots of dedicated control dials and buttons to save time as well as the desirable top mounted LCD to give exposure/camera setting info from above. You can save battery life by turning off the rear LCD and only using the top one. Most pros do this.

Anyway, this is a great camera to learn on and the quality is good enough to take you far.

It was "Highly Recommended" by DPReview when it was tested. ( http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxk20d )

I'm asking $375+shipping for this 'like new' camera that was once priced at over $1000. As most know, I treat my gear very gently, and I describe any flaws that I can find. This camera has nothing to note.

I also have a nice vintage Pentax manual focus lens that works great with this camera. Its an SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.7
Having the "A" in the description means that it is auto aperture and can be fully exposure controlled by the K20D body. It will work in any of the modes and expose correctly.
The old Pentax glass is renowned for its sharpness, color rendition and overall image quality. 50mm in a APS-C camera like this is equivalent to about 75mm in old film terms, therefore it makes a great portrait lens. Fast F1.7 aperture means nice background blur. The lens is in very good shape. The glass is scratch free, coatings still intact, iris blades work smoothly, no oil or fungus visible. Aperture setting and focus dials work smooth. Missing original front cap, but will send with a UV filter/protector.

I can sell this separately for $50+shipping or include for an extra $40 with the kit above.
