Hi All, I have moved and am 'downsizing' to get everything to fit in more limited space. I have some vintage equipment that 1) I don't have room for, and 2) therefore can't use. I don't like to have stuff that may be useful to someone just sitting in storage... I have sold 100's of items on eBay under the same name as my Polk forum name 'dcoil'. If you look me up you will see I'm pretty legit. I have for sale the following 3 items. These are all obviously used items, but all are in very good condition and the last time I had them in the loop worked as expected. I will try to price these very reasonably for Polkies. If you think my price is high, PM me - I'm not trying to make a killing on this stuff. I really just want it to go to a good home and be enjoyed.
1) Philips 212 turntable. Comes with lid and 2 cartridges, an Audio Technica 14Sa and a Stanton L847S. The AT cartridge probably has some wear, but the Stanton has very little time on it. I just bought a new belt (over $10) as I was thinking about getting this back in my system - but simply don't have the space. This is a nice, solid unit. The lid/cover is a smoked plastic and has some 'wear' on it from album sleeves sitting on it. Price is $50 plus actual cost of shipping.
2) Magnovox 8 track stereo recorder! Wow, every system needs one of these.... OK, I know I am dating myself with this stuff, but as they say 'it is what it is'... This was a good unit and at the time, and a step up from the JCPenny unit... For some reason I've seen these go for over $100 - nostalgia?? Price is $40 plus actual cost of shipping.
3) Teac W450R dual auto-reversing tape recorder. Price is $40 plus actual cost of shipping.

SDA SRS modded: Xovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDOd, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

A GA-212 for 50 smackers is a serious bargain, especially if you're well versed in shipping these rather fragile turntables.

Did you ever sell the Philips 212 turntable?
