I knew Terry Dwick is one of the most premire Mcintosh tec guys around. While I called his site another man answered, Tom Manley who runs the retail shop.Anyway I was interested in getting this beat up Mac and what he said is they are so back logged that even if it was repariable they couldn't get to it for months.Terry himself works out of his own house/ shop and is swamped.I also noticed that they sell both Mac stuff and other brand name items . no wiggle room at all for anything what it's listed for is the selling price. OK they got the goods the better off want and will pay for it. Now he just had a party w/ Rodger Russel and are old friend and also w/ Audio Classics.I told him about the continuing debate about speaker cables around here and what was his own opinion.1. It has to OFC at a low enough gu for the run. 2. both runs should be cut at approx same length. Meaning he never would want to see a big coil of extra wire on a side because you are making an induction winding of some sort. terminate w/ what is best for the application being it spade, banana, pin or through the post hole.
They sell Grado carts ,that's why I also called .
MHADRDY-I again called Grado themselves and the only stylus that would fit my GF-3 is the Grado Blue . I think I can get the entire Grado Black cart and stylus for the same money......
